Exhibition Talk#2 – “Power and Illusion: Political Issues in Photography”

The “Photography Never Lies” exhibition talk invites everyone to expand the scope of discussion from the status of photography, technology, and artificial intelligence to a deep dive into the history of politics in photography.

We will explore ideologies, reactions, responses, and confrontations with state power, as well as political violence and the repetition of history. Photography, in this context, is not just a means of recording events but a tool for communicating and critiquing political situations both past and present.

The Bangkok Art and Culture Centre is honored to host three distinguished artists: Patrik Budenz and Birte Zellentin from Germany, and Sai ▇▇ from Myanmar, in this engaging discussion.
