“Madame Horse’s Tale” is Kunjana Dumsopee’s first solo exhibition, inspired by her experiences creating art while living in Phetchaburi Province. Her to spend time within the context of her surroundings and family relationships by default, stimulating exploration and the collection of individual stories to present through both 2D and 3D media. Originally rooted in the depiction of femininity and the subtleties of everyday joy, Dumsopee’s artistic framework found expression through lithography a discipline demanding meticulous adherence to procedural rigor. This transition marked a pivotal turning point over the past three years, characterized by a departure from traditional paradigms and an embrace of innovative prospects an evolution synonymous with unlocking new horizons and transcending conventional limitations.
Embarking on this transformative odyssey alongside a pair of horse companions symbolizing familial bonds Dumsopee’s artistic inquiry ventured beyond the confines of domesticity, unveiling a profound understanding of love and a fresh perspective on the surrounding milieu. This odyssey, oscillating between the urban dynamism of Bangkok and the rustic charm of Phetchaburi, served as a crucible for creative experimentation across various media and installation formats. Through this process, intrinsic values were attributed to mundane objects, underpinning the very essence of life and nurturing a fertile ground for the cultivation of artistic expression.
