Description

👀 What can a single piece of paper become? Find the answer at PAPERCLUB101 Exhibition: A group exhibition by 10 paper artists.

🗓️ November 8 – December 8, 2024
📌 Hosted at GalileOasis Gallery (GOG).

GalileOasis proudly presents the group exhibition ‘PAPERCLUB101 Exhibition,’ bringing together 10 artists with diverse paper art styles to showcase their works, each with different perspectives on working with paper as the exhibition aims to inspire everyone to grab the paper around them and transform it into their very own unique artworks.

‘Paper’ is an easily accessible material, lightweight, with various textures. It can be torn, crumpled, drawn on, written on, colored, and used in countless other ways. It is not just an ordinary material but serves as the ‘first canvas’ that allows us to experiment and freely express limitless imagination and emotions, eventually becoming the first piece of art that reflects creativity. It also serves as a space for practice, leading to the discovery of one’s true artistic identity.

The 11 artists featured in the PAPERCLUB101 exhibition include 4alleycats, Chinnarat Mongkolchai, colorlesscrowd, Gee, Intani H., Matt-Mek Studio, Miminini, Musae, Nicha Wongvonsang, Papermoment and Wuthipol Designs.

The PAPERCLUB101 exhibition also includes various activities that invite everyone to explore the endless possibilities of paper around them.

📄’Paper Remembrance’ is an activity that invites participants to reflect on 10 types of paper commonly seen in daily life and offers an opportunity to ‘speak’ and give new meaning to these papers, transforming them into new art pieces in your own style.
💬 ‘Artist in Progress’ allows you to meet the exhibiting artists in person every Saturday during the exhibition, providing a chance to exchange views and have casual conversations.
🎨 …and many more activities! ‘PAPERCLUB101’ also offers various other activities, including workshops, sound experiments, Zine Dummy Station, and a film screening event, Once a Month Film.
